Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

As Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll provide legal support to Hub88 and its teams and management, drafting, reviewing, and completing high-quality agreements and legal documentation.

You’ll help Hub88 prevent, navigate, and resolve legal issues, including negotiating contract terms, transactions, and settlements, as well as creating legal procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the drafting, review, negotiation and execution of complex commercial agreements, including software licensing, distribution, game supplier, strategic partnership, outsourcing and intra-group agreements.
• Act as a trusted legal advisor to senior leadership, providing commercially focused legal guidance that supports strategic objectives while managing legal and regulatory risk.
• Lead complex contractual negotiations with clients, suppliers, partners and other stakeholders, balancing legal protection with commercial objectives.
• Oversee the contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, renegotiations and ongoing contractual compliance.
• Provide strategic legal support on business expansion, market entries, new product launches and other corporate projects.
• Monitor and advise on developments in gambling regulations and other applicable legal frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
• Partner closely with Product, Commercial, Compliance, Finance and Operations to provide proactive legal support.
• Lead legal assessments and risk analysis relating to new products, technologies and operational changes.
• Manage relationships with external counsel and specialist advisors, including their selection and oversight.
• Support corporate governance activities, including restructuring projects, group entity management, and board and shareholder matters.
• Develop and continuously improve legal processes, templates, policies and procedures.
• Mentor junior members of the legal team and contribute to the team’s strategy and priorities.

Key skills & experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in a legal role.
• Excellent written and spoken English (additional languages considered an asset).
• Experience in the gaming industry or another highly regulated industry.
• Self-motivated, able to take ownership in a dynamic environment with a positive, can-do mindset.
• Excellent analytical skills, able to identify risk and propose business-oriented solutions.
• Strong planning, organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
• An approachable, effective communicator able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• A degree in Law from a reputable university.
