Could you give us an outline of how Hub88’s strategy for offering jackpots as part of its aggregation portal has evolved?

Hub88’s route ahead has changed significantly as the iGaming ecosystem has shifted toward more modular, player-centric engagement tools. In the past, jackpots within aggregation portals relied on heavy backend integrations and rigid system logic, limiting how quickly operators could deploy or customise them.

During 2025, we re-engineered this approach through our partnership with ThrillTech, culminating in the launch of the ThrillTech Jackpots Software Development Kit. This marked a strategic shift from backend-driven setups to a flexible, developer-first, front-end SDK that operators can implement with minimal effort.

By enabling real-time jackpot updates, opt-in mechanics and on-brand visual customisation, we’ve completely transformed jackpots from a static feature into an immersive engagement layer. The move toward player-funded, session-enhancing jackpot experiences also reflects our much broader vision… to give operators modern, lightweight tools that plug easily into existing lobbies while delivering higher retention and richer game moments across the aggregation ecosystem. This is where we’re driving value in 2026.

What was the rationale for taking ThrillTech’s ThrillPots solution and how will this enhance Hub88’s offering to operators?

We adopted ThrillTech’s ThrillPots™ as part of a strategic push to give operators access to engagement mechanics that demonstrably increase player session time, retention and revenue. Traditional jackpot systems often require extensive back-end development, slowing down deployment and limiting customisation.

ThrillPots™ removes these barriers by providing a fully integrated, player-funded jackpot engine that operators can launch rapidly without technical overhead. Its immersive animations, real-time updates and on-brand visual effects align perfectly with Hub88’s goal of delivering modern, flexible engagement tools.

More widely, how has the practice of offering jackpots evolved in recent years and why?

In recent years, across the industry jackpots have shifted dramatically as our partners look for more flexible, data-driven and personalised engagement tools. Traditional fixed or network jackpots, which were at one time defined largely by size and spectacle and, basically that it(!), have evolved into more dynamic, player-centric features designed to extend session time and deepen interaction. Regulatory pressure, rising acquisition costs and the need for sustainable retention models have pushed operators toward transparent, player-funded mechanics and real-time experiences that feel fair, interactive and, well, rewarding. It’s a JP tool overall.

At the same time, advances in front-end technology and lightweight SDKs have enabled jackpots to move closer to the player experience, with instant updates, opt-in systems and richer animations replacing static displays. This has opened the door for operators to tailor jackpots to specific segments, brands or markets without heavy engineering. As a result, modern jackpots are no longer just “big win moments” — they’ve become versatile engagement layers that sit across the casino ecosystem, driving consistent value and repeat play.

What are the benefits of the different types of jackpots e.g. progressive, fixed, networked?

The wonderful thing about not only having different JP types, but being able to create unique, distinct offerings with the Hub88xThrilltech SDK is that we’re allowing operators to tailor their engagement strategy to various player behaviours and of course their own commercial end goals.

Does Hub88 have any plans to move further into the jackpots space with any other deals in the future?

We’re never content treading water. Who is? We’re happy for now that we’ve strengthened with ThrillPots™, nevertheless, the broader Jackpot space still holds untapped potential for dreamers daring to dream...

Cross-brand or cross-platform jackpots are another growth area, allowing pooled prizes across multiple operators or game types are an obvious avenue towards creating greater totals and broader player engagement.

The yin to that yang perhaps would be micro and tiered jackpots, offering smaller, frequent wins alongside larger progressive prizes, which I’d say are one of the most underutilised JP styles in many markets. These can drive longer sessions by providing continuous feedback loops without overwhelming volatility. Excitement with hysteria.

Personalised or gamified jackpots, leveraging data to target specific segments or in-game behaviours, also represent a largely untapped opportunity to boost retention. For us and our operator partners, integrating these innovative mechanics could create differentiation, increase player stickiness and unlock new revenue streams while maintaining regulatory compliance.

How will Hub88’s renewed focus on jackpots fit in alongside its focus on adding game suppliers? Will the two work in tandem or be separate focuses?

Our renewed focus on jackpots complements, rather than competes with, our efforts to expand our supplier network. By integrating flexible, engagement-driven jackpot solutions alongside a growing library of high-quality games, operators can offer a more immersive player experience.

New titles can launch with pre-configured jackpot mechanics, while existing games gain fresh retention tools, creating a virtuous cycle of content and engagement. Far from being separate initiatives, the two foci work in harmony; an expanded supplier roster increases the reach and relevance of jackpot features, while jackpots enhance the performance and appeal of each game, delivering measurable uplift in session time and operator ROI.
